On January 28, Clute Intermediate students competed against seven area schools in various UIL academic areas. The competition was more competitive than in the past with a larger number of participants in each event. Mrs. Lemons along with Mrs. Bailey, Mrs. LaBerge, Ms.Cave, Ms.Hargrove, Mrs. Henderson, Mrs. Chacon, and Mrs. Sanchez escorted the CIS UIL to the event held in Rosenberg.
