Over the weekend the Clute Cougar Cross Country boys team had a great showing at the Sweeny Invitational. Clute took 11 students to the long distance meet and the boys team came home with a 2nd place medal. CIS 8th grader Gabriel Santana placed 4th individually and 7th grader Gabriel Gonzales came in 3rd. This is only the 2nd year for the Cougars to have a competition cross-country team.
Even without a full team, the girls were able to compete and place. Brianna Taylor came in 12th and Samantha Kaale took 22nd place.
We are proud of these students and Coach Misty Ingram. A great tradition has started at CIS.
